When your family joins our practice, your K–12 kids get a mouthguard that actually fits
We have kids who play sports, and the worry that comes with watching them play hard is something every parent knows.
Store-bought boil-and-bite guards offer a fraction of the protection of a custom-fitted professional mouthguard. So when a family joins Stouffville Dental Studio, we make one straightforward commitment: every K–12 child in your family receives a properly-fitted custom mouthguard as part of our welcome.
- Custom-fitted, professionally fabricated mouthguards offer significantly better protection than over-the-counter alternatives.
- One per student per school year, with replacements available if there has been a significant change in dentition.
- Part of welcoming your family — offered to every K–12 child when your family joins the practice as new patients.
A practical commitment to community health
Sports-related dental injuries are common, preventable, and often costly. Custom-fitted mouthguards offer significantly better protection than over-the-counter alternatives. This program is part of how Stouffville Dental Studio welcomes new families — with care that is thoughtful, sustainable, and built around your kids.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our new patient sports mouthguard welcome program.
Who is eligible for the sports mouthguard program?
Any K–12 child in a family that has registered as new patients at Stouffville Dental Studio. Proof of school enrollment (current report card, school ID, or registration letter) is required at the impression appointment to verify K–12 age.
Is the mouthguard a custom-fitted guard?
Yes. Every eligible student receives a professionally custom-fitted sports mouthguard, not a store-bought boil-and-bite. Custom guards provide significantly better protection, comfort and retention during athletic activity.
How often can a student get a replacement mouthguard?
One custom mouthguard per student per school year. Replacements within the same year are available if there has been a significant change in dentition (such as new permanent teeth coming in).
How do families register for the program?
Phone our practice at (289) 909-8080 to register your family as new patients. Once your family is registered, we will book the mouthguard impression appointment for each eligible K–12 child. The guard is ready within two weeks. Proof of enrollment is required at the impression appointment.
Does my child have to be a patient of the practice?
Yes. The sports mouthguard program is part of how we welcome new patient families. Each K–12 child in your family receives a custom-fitted mouthguard when your family joins the practice.
